Paul Fogarty was born and raised in a farm in the remote town of Toowoomba in Australia. It was in this calm community when he first noticed his creativity and he began to fill this quietness with his songs.
This resulted in more than 600 songs he has written since age of 15, many of which came to him like a soundtrack to a dream. “I don´t really understand how the “dream-songs” come to life. I understand my job in trying to remember them when I wake up. The ones which sound most beautiful to my ears I make heard on my concerts to see if my fans join my feelings.”
Paul worked in many jobs in his life, such as journalist, post clerk, taxi driver and many more but in June 2000 he quit to make his songs heard. He recorded his first demo in the studio of a friend called Ian Harvey and it was him who after the session told him: “you should make that your first album”.
The debut “Breathe” was born, of which two songs instantly achieved airplay on Australian radio stations. In 2002 he went to the studio again for the recording of the follow-up album “Stagefright”. This time the radio station ABC Coast FM considered it as „album of the week“ shortly after release. DJs of Australian radio stations added all 14 new songs from “Stagefright” to their playlists and the album received critical acclaim.
